Hi everybody!

Life has turned slightly for me and I’m going to take a small break. Fear not, the story will continue as will the comic. Let me explain what’s going on.

First, I’m illustrating a small children’s book and the project is expanding, which is a good thing financially, but it is eating up a lot of my time currently. Second, my wife’s brother is in the final stages of terminal lung cancer, and he’s been placed on Hospice care. This is extremely stressful for my wife as she’s constantly on the phone dealing with the issue-of-the-day for his care.

With that in mind, I am going to take off the holidays and return on Wednesday, February 1st. To be honest, when I started drawing the comic earlier this year, I was unsure if I could actually pull it off. I hadn’t drawn in a long time and my depression had halted me on every attempt to draw the comic in years past. I didn’t want to dive into something I couldn’t do.

I’ve proven to myself I can do this and now I want to do it right. During my “holiday” I will be creating more pages for this story. I’m noticing big mistakes in the pages as I’m rushing to get them done while managing all this other stuff. By taking the next three months to build up a buffer of comics, I’ll be able to take my time and not take shortcuts on the pages and the story.

I will post updates on here, so you know I’m still kicking and creating pages. Enjoy your holidays and we will pick this back up February 1st, 2023!

I’ll be taking more than a couple days off, but this Huey Lewis & the News song fits the bill!
