The ladies of 1977 drawn in my versions of Sailor Moon and Sakura Haruno from “Naruto.” I don’t know why this came to mind. My brain does what it wants to and I just go along for the ride most times. I am also experimenting with a website that has some pre-built poses in 3D but are rendered so you can see the muscles (so no skin) and it actually helps me see where muscle groups are. And this is the result. So semi-action poses with a little Anime thrown in for good measure.
And yes, I do know Sailor Moon wears boots, but Lorraine in any type of footwear is just a sin. I only put Robyn in boots as they showed her toes. Rock chicks did not wear shoes. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it. And I’m not putting on the big bow that adorns Sailor Moon’s outfit as it’s a bigger sin to cover up Lorraine’s breasts.
The “Taking On New York” story will start on July 11th and there will be no post next week as I get things organized for that storyline.
From the Beach Boys 1973 album “Holland” comes this minor hit “Sail On, Sailor” which was popular on FM rock stations but was not that big of hit for the waning Beach Boys.
It would be cool if you had Buddet (Bud) and Jeffra (Jeff) as sailor mercury and sailor mars even Robyn as sailor Venus wearing those bows, dresses and pumps posing with Lorraine. Then again they could dress as sailors Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune and Uranus (great for jokes your anus) in those cute costumes. Or have Jeff dress as astro boy rocket boots and magic speedos battle Godzilla saving sumo wrestlers. Maybe Dragon Balls Lorraine as wearing a playboy bunny suit Bulma, Robyn as the combative monkey tailed Goku, Jeff as the greedy Mao suited pig Oalong and Bud (Buddet) as the sex kitten Chi Chi off to face Shearon the dragon. Even battle of the planets Lorraine as princess the others can fight for male roles oh the fun of Japanimation I’ll defeat you hahahaha. Yes I got to get out more.
It’s all good! I love your suggestions and wish I had the time to draw them. It takes me forever to draw stuff as I fuss over every little detail in all the stages of drawing. Inking takes the longest as I draw and redraw lines to get them the way I want them, when 99% of the time the first or second attempt was just fine.
Go with the bootless look. (“The Mad Hatter didn’t wear fishnet stockings!” —said several times to Laverne DeFazio when she played the Mad Hatter.)
And it’s from a episode that aired in 1977 called “Shirley’s Operation!” (I had to Google it) I even found the episode on YouTube.
Shirley Feeney: “The Mad Hatter did not wear fishnet stockings.”
Laverne DeFazio: “Well that’s why he didn’t get any action!”
