I had to do this one… it just cracks me up.Β And please, don’t tell me you don’t know who Lynda Carter is… I’ll just die!Β Man, she’s was hot in the 70s and still rocks today.Β Oh my, I feel a case of the vapors coming on… π
Bob Seger’s “Her Strut” from his album “Against the Wind” breaks a rule of my song selection… it’s from 1980.Β But, Bob Seger was big not only in the 80s, but the 70s and the 60s, so I’m letting this one pass.Β Besides, it’s one of Seger’s “heavier” songs and not only that Bob performs the guitar solo, albeit a simple one, but still it fit the song.Β One could cover this song by really doing it with a true heavy metal guitar sound and it would sound great.Β Anyone? Hello, UNDUN? Do covers? π

yanno… Her Strut is one bad ass tune. Tell ya what, I will bring it up at practice after our show this weeekend and let ya know who well it goes. You rock Byron!!!!!
Ziggy
WOW! That would be super cool… I think you guys would do a bad-ass version of that song. It just begs for a rough and tough band to take it up a notch.
I’ve got other things for you guys too, but I’ve been super busy with some new business deals (which is about time) and I gotta get back in touch with you guys.
Rock on, man!
π
You know, I just caught that you’re going to practice AFTER the show… um, guys…
π
LOL I admit… that sounded messed up!! I meant the first practice after the show! =)
Lynda Carter rocked. Before she played Wonder Woman she sang in a band for a while. Gary Burghoff (Radar from M*A*S*H) was the drummer.
And she has indeed mantained her hawtness. Did you see her as the principal in Sky High? Still yowza after all these years.
Remember the WW episode with Martin Mull as the flute-playing rock star? Gotta love Hollywood’s image of cool… though I suppose some of the glam rockers really did look a bit like that. *shudder*
What American TV tried to pass off as “cool” rock bands was laughable at best. Which is why I’m making so much fun of them in this Road Trip series!
Indeed, Lynda Carter is truly gorgeous. I gotta find that link to her poster in the 70s… smokin’!!
π
You mean the other must have 70’s poster besides Farrah? π
Here is a link that includes some history as well.

Yep, that’s the one… drool, drool… π
That is bound to make any day a bit more exciting!
Would make my day no matter what…
π
I hate to say this cause they’re an awful band but Nickelback could do a great cover of that Seger tune. I could totally hear it.
Hilarious strip today!
“Her Strut” is a great tune from Seger but it needs to be done with a bit harder edge, and yes, Nickelback could do it justice too. You gotta have the right growl in the singer’s voice to pull it off. I’m pushing for UNDUN to do it…
π
One of my alltime fav movies of Lovely Lynda was “Bobbie Joe and the Outlaws” Plenty of nude and topless scenes of her. And yes, THEY are natural!! Whoohoo!! Pant, pant!;)
Artie
I saw “Bobbi Jo” on HBO in 1978 and was floored by Lynda’s nude scenes. Even on a small B&W TV, the scenes were great to see.
The movie was shot before she did Wonder Woman and has made the film (which is a real stinker otherwise) a huge cult favorite.
π
Hahahaha…awesome.
Thanks Pam! I did the Lynda Carter mention just for you!
π
I dunno. It’s something about that Wonder Woman costume that just gets me. Maybe if Linda just wore the star-spangled bottoms. Or just the bracelets?
Yep, just the bracelets… Man, is it steamy in my office today or what?
π
Now I get it. It was a magic WISHING toad that Bud lickedβ¦ but it only grants security guard’s wishes!
Yeah, I wish I had that kind of frog/toad around in those days…
Now I gotta look up the differences from a toad and a frog… as a farm boy you’d think I’d know (use to shoot them with my .22 along the pond on hot summer days…)
π
The differences? That’s easy. Toads NEVER turn into princes π
what’s better than a streaker? a chick streaker! well, for webcomics ratings anyway *wink wink* ;0)
I recall a conversation about you jogging once…
π
that is both hot AND gross at the same time!
LOL! I kinda know where you’re coming from. I of course enjoy drawing scantily clad women only to realize it’s Bud… but go with the moment I say.
π
Just wait till the security guards figure out the gross part.
The one thing I remember most about that Wonder Woman costume was thinking: “I can’t believe they’re showing enormous camel toe on Prime Time!”
Trust me, they had people on set just to make sure that kinda of stuff didn’t “sneak” into a shot. Some costume person was responsible to make sure she had proper “padding’ there to “smooth” it out. They do that with male underwear models (well, they did in the 70s). Can’t have Mr. Happy poking through some tidy-whities you know.
I know I’ve read articles back in the day where women had to put band-aids over their nipples so they didn’t stick out on TV. We’re sooo hung up on those things yet we’ll show violent movies with no problems…
I’d rather see the “naughty bits” myself… π
Oh yes, they call her the streak!
Ah, a Ray Stevens fan in the gallery today! π
you know, i was also thinking that “the streak” would be the more appropriate song for this particular comic … π ray stevens rules. i especially love songs like the henhouse five plus too’s “in the mood” … classic. its especially good as a “gtfo” song to play at the end of the night when dj’ing in dance clubs.
my first ‘real’ girlfriend when i was a teenager looked a lot like lynda carter.
–dee!
I hope Buddet doesn’t get arrested and makes in home
