Damn, Lorraine gets around. And for God’s sake, put on some pants when answering the door, will ya? I can’t tell you how many times I was greeted by tidy-whities in college… Man… And, I am a smart ass as much as Bud is and generally a comment like the one he made today would get me slapped around a bit. It is never a good idea to point at a guy who can kick your ass.
Today’s comic title comes from the Doobie Brothers’ third album release. “The Captain and Me” was released in 1973 and it was an instant winner. I have the album on reel-to-reel and the sonic quality was fantastic and was a source for demonstrating my stereo system many times over the decades. But the other reason I featured a Doobie’s tune today is that one of the original drummers for the band, Michael Hossack, passed away last week. The Doobies was one of a handful of bands to feature dual drummers. The other two that come to mind are the Grateful Dead and the Allman Brothers. A track that rocks with both drummers is also on “The Captain and Me” called “Without You” and you need to go find it and crank the sucker up. So in remembrance of a great drummer for a landmark ’70s rock band, today’s tune is dedicated to Michael. May he drum on forever now. (And this is from Wikipedia: “In 1977, Hossack became a partner in Chateau Recorders studio in North Hollywood.”)

Well I will say this that Lorraine does get around and it could make any man feel bad to see that he’s just another one of her…”conquests” and not the other way around. 🙁
She may get around, but if you know who she is and what to expect before going in, its not that bad. I’d much rather be #5 on the 4th and be able to smile when I hear her name than a long term smothering that makes me cringe to see her coming.
Just my two cents.
Thanks for the kudos for Michael Hossack, Byron. Ya know why “Without You” is such a killer tune don’t cha… The main writers were the rhythm section: both drummers Hossack & John Hartman, & Tiran Porter, the bass player! The Captain & Me didn’t have a bad song on it, an album that I wore out numerous copies of on LP & 8-track both. Rock on Michael!
Too much, man. 😀
pointing, not to mention POINTING OUT verbally that the guy’s a shithead. bud better duck pretty quick, ‘cuz that guy looks like he’s the sort that doles out knuckle sammiches when greeted with brutal truth for breakfast. 😀
Hahaha… Touché!!!! 🙂
Ahhh…college, underwear and coed dorms.
Heh. This one is definitely for the ladies! ;`)
Ye cats, he’s hung like a stallion!
Just sayin’…
~whistles innocently and looks at ceiling~
Hahah! Who’s the shithead now indeed xD
Great punchline on that one, Byron! Royal! 🙂
For the record, that never happened to me when I was 20, especially after I quit two jobs and dropped out of college to move up there to be with her. Not even once…
You must have seen the man show with their “she’s a whisky drinking Cajan devil woman ” all you need is Adam and Jimmy with girls on trampolines.
