It is rare that I can take on a current event in the comic, as well, it’s in 1977… but when our friends from “Lost” stumbled into 1977 this week… they were asking for this.
🙂
The title of the comic is not a song nor is it gibberish. Hints: Look at the title of the last episode of “Lost” and look up it’s meaning. Then, you will be headed in the right direction for translating the title of this comic. I’ll update it after a while, but I often let the cat out of the bag too early, so have some fun guessing what the title means. (And I’m hoping the translation dictionary I used was accurate!)
Back to regular 1977 on Monday. Have a good weekend. Please buy a book or subscribe, I’m getting ready for the conventions and the cash flow would be handy. Thanks everyone who’s supported so far, too!
UPDATE: Ta-Da! Someone figured out that the comic title is Hindi for “Get Lost!” I did this because the episode of Lost this week was called “Namaste” which I understand to be some sort of Hindi greeting, or “bow to you.” In my smart-ass tradition, Jeff is telling the Lost gang to “get lost” by sending them to the short-tempered Robyn’s room. By the way, the Time Portal was the first door on the left.
BTW: finding the Romanized spelling of Hindi is NOT easy.
BTW #2: Bud is referring to “McMillan & Wife” a TV “NBC Mystery Movie” series that featured “Columbo” and “McCloud”

B-rilliant! Well! Done! Dud- I mean, man…
ont watch lost so i thought dharma was referring to donald “buck” dharma of B.O.C they were so badass they came here not too long ago and still rocked the house
heh its so hard to write in the dark i meant to say i dont watch….
“go to hell”? really? or were you going for “get lost”?
I asked one of the Indian girls at my work that speaks fluent Hindi about the title of your comic. Needless to say, she laughed.
Yeah, BOC are immortal, I think. I’ve seen ’em three times in over 25 years, and whether they’re in a packed stadium or a college bar, they still rawk like stoner gods. Honestly, I don’t think anything they’ve released from the studio holds a votive candle to them live. Close to 40 years or so, and they’re still great live. That’s quite an achievement!
Well done, good sir, well done! I thought you’d like to know where they landed. Great comic! 🙂
Duuuuude!
nobody mentions the posters?! sweeeeet
Isn’t putting in a product free advertising? As long as you are not making money directly off of the sell of the product. But that is just my opinion as INAL.
