When the Avengers were really hot, and before they killed off the Black Widow character, I drew this version of Lorraine in a suit based on the movie version of the Black Widow’s outfits. I’m not sure if I ever shared this or not, my memory since my stroke in 2017 has been hit-and-miss, plus, the anti-depressants I’ve been on for years also contributes to some memory loss. Either way, I did update it, so it’s new to me.

I started the version shown above a while ago, but never did any of the shading. Instead, for whatever reason, I chose to do a version with the suit in red, which is shown below. Both versions have their merits but today, I lean toward the blue version. In the blue version I have changed the way I highlight Lorraine’s hair, I eliminated some of the flames behind her, I went with an overall darker lighting, and, in my opinion, improved the overall shades on Lorraine. And since I’m the master of the universe here, the blue version made the cut to be the primary image today.

Either version, with the flames behind her, I’m hoping this image will help warm you up this winter, even if it’s warm where you are.

NOW… I have a bone to pick with Facebook. And don’t we all? I received a one-day suspension for making a joke comment on a picture showing a woman trying to capture a rather large spider saying that I would “burn down my house and move. I hate spiders!” The combination of “burn” and “hate” flagged the censorship gods at Facebook and I was thrown off for a day. Okay, in perspective, not a big deal, and frankly, I didn’t notice as I was busy at the time and wasn’t even on Facebook that day. But censorship in any form is absolutely terrible. Obviously if a human being had read my comment, I would not have been suspended. But, the AI software Facebook uses has been kicking off a lot of people like me and yet the real assholes of the world can make all the negative comments they want. I don’t expect anything to change, but I will simply voice my disgust at censorship. Yes, I am well aware of the facts that Facebook as a private entity has the right to delete what ever they want. I still will object loudly as we all should in my opinion.

And now back to our regularly schedule comics…

Speaking of secret agents… the best opening song ever for a James Bond movie was McCartney’s “Live and Let Die.” I’m partial to McCartney stuff, but this really does kick some butt. And not only that, the film shows flaming skulls burst on the screen in time with the big orchestral entrances. Take that Facebook! (I’m such a prick sometimes.)
