Hey everybody! I’m back from the C2E2 comic convention and my feet and back are shot, but I had a great time. This week’s blogs, both here and over at Webcomic Planet, will go into detail of what I did and what I found out for future conventions and even the future of 1977. Teasers!
For today, enjoy some images! Word Press kinda sucks at how you can format images and text together, so I’ll update this page with HTML formatting later on.
Looks like you had a blast! Was it a successful con for you?
Yes and no. Financially it was a loss, but then I expected that as I’m not as well known as other webcomics. BUT… as far as exposure and marketing, it was a total success. Hundreds of people took the book markers and got excited about reading the comic.
So I am going to watch my stats for this week and see if they’re up or down. I will be doing a full report on Webcomic Planet on Friday.
The Cat shirt you are wearing looks alot like some of the older track crew shirts that were issued at various Supercross events back in the day. I was wondering if you had any affiliation with Supercross, Dirt Wurx, Fox Motorsports, etc?
That’s a CAT NASCAR crew shirt for CAT’s racing team. It was signed by Dave Blaney, the driver at the time. Very cool shirt and extremely comfortable. I’m a big NASCAR fan, so it was only appropriate I wore it around town.
🙂
Love the pics, looks like ya’ll had a blast. Can’t wait to see more and hear more about ideas for future cons and the future of 1977.
Tuesday and Thursday will be dedicated to reporting my findings from attending C2E2. Many mistakes, and many things done right, so I’ll try and recap them all.
🙂
wooooooooooooo! *ahem* woo!
High five, man… oh, and steak…
🙂
Looks like a lot of fun. Hope you get a ton of new readership. Love how you titled the one pic “Hot Chick”
If the reactions the comic was getting was any indication I’ll be getting a ton of new readers as nearly everyone was smiling or laughing at the banner. Those lucky bastards that actually stopped and bought a book will be pleased indeed as well.
The goal was to meet lots new people and that goal was met handily!
🙂
Awesome! Looks like you guys had a lot of fun!
No can see pics 🙁
