You can’t blame Jeff, she did ask what he was thinking…
Ray Charles is not the first thing I think of when I want to rock and roll, but one cannot ignore his sheer talent and his influences on all music forms over the decades. So today I stroll a bit from the 70s and pop in this AM favorite of mine from Ray. There’s about a *billion* versions of this song from Johnny Cash to Elvis to Jimi Hendrix to Rare Earth, but Ray’s is the cream of the crop. Even Ray has two versions, this one being the shortened radio version.

Hahaha, great last line! Btw, you have a typo in the title there I believe.
No matter how much you stare at a comic post before it goes “live” it seems the big stuff just never stands out.
The editor takes credit for improving the last line… and she thanks you!
🙂
Robyn’s really settling into her new look! Also, wot Brogan said 😛
Fixed!
Yeah, I’m getting use to her this way now and finding it easier to draw. The comic itself is getting easier to draw and taking less time, which is good as I’m buried in freelance work it seems.
🙂
Bigger boobs = Bigger cluelessness.
The Ladybug is having a good time…
🙂
is it just me or is ms mckenna looking more and more like the devil?
LOL! Heh, the glasses do it I guess… Also, isn’t there a little Devil in every woman? Zing… 🙂
In human form, the Devil and Robyn were very similar and that was what motivated me to try and spruce up the women folk of 1977 so they were a bit more distinctive. Next time we see the Devil (and she’s coming back) she’ll be very distinctive in human form.
Oh… the glasses…. Saw a old photo of a friend wearing those “granny” glasses and thought Robyn would look cool in them.
🙂
Having just seen the news about blizzards in Washington and with snow here in the UK, it occurs to me that what ‘1977’ needs is more snow!
Don’t they ever do gigs in Toronto?
Yeah, the East Coast is really getting slammed. We had a big snow in early January, but that’s to be expected around here. Other than that, we get the usual inch or snow, which blows off and we end up looking at dead grass most of the winter.
As far as 1977, you’ve heard the song “It Never Rains In Southern California”, well, it never snows in 1977… at least it hasn’t much. I do believe I’ve had only ONE comic with snow in it. Even when Bud moved in with Jeff, supposedly in early January of 1977, Bud and Jeff didn’t even wear jackets to go to the store.
I like it to be warm and sunny in 1977, so you won’t see much snow… I’m sure I’ll work in a blizzard storyline here soon enough… HEY! Maybe next week to make the folks on the East Coast feel better…
🙂
Meanwhile, we’ve got summer flash floods and bushfires down in Australia 😛
Wonder what Jeff would have said about her boob if there hadn’t been a ladybug on it?
You get the shiny new dime! Yeah, he would have been looking there anyway…
🙂
Maybe, but women dont know how men think.
It’s a far too complex science.
