And to finish today’s title: “…to the show that never ends!” Karn Evil #9 Part 2 or some nonsense like that from Emerson, Lake & Palmer’s “Brain Salad Surgery” Cool album cover.
So, what did you do on your “vacation” from the comic? A lot, mainly house stuff and regenerated myself to doing 1977 5 days a week. I have the next little piece lined up nicely then we launch into summer with a grand road trip to California that will take freakin’ forever but will fit nicely into the current format and I think will be varied enough not to drag on. We’ll see. It is the most ambitious portion of this year’s storyline. Teasers galore!
See you all Monday as we start recording the demo tape! The memories I have of doing that…
🙂
Glad youre back. I love this comic man.
Karn Evil 9, Part 1, 2nd Impression. Jeez, somebody might think you didn’t pay attention back then. Were you on drugs or sumthin, man? But H.R. Giger’s cover art was awesome!
Good to see you back, dude. Love your stuff!
F#$#ing finally man. i missed you so much.
*cry’s tears of joy*
glad your back byron. i love the fact that the agent is only boob high to lorraine.
nice sexy panel of robin (ive always liked chicks looking over their shoulder at me).
i wonder how far GOD would flick bud if he actually did it?
lets hope the pause is not TOO brief (i mean c’mon)lol.i also love poco’s reaction to what hes seeing”thats not how you do that!” hilarious.
looking forward to the next storyline hope you’re feeling better now
Welcome back, Byron! It was a rough week not having any new 1977 to get me through it. 🙂
My band’s recording some demos now too. Fun times for all, i’ve re-recorded gtiar parts twice and i’m going to do it again because the gutiar parts are HORRIBLE in terms of tone 😛
It’s pure fun in a bun 😛
Nice to see the comic’s still going strong, dude.
And I missed doing the comic too… Just once in a while you gotta sit down and just take a breath. I have watched several family members pass away way before their time and the lesson I take away each time is enjoy life today as tomorrow may not come. Heavy shit, man… but true, and which is why I do the comic… I simply love doing it. It makes me laugh, and as long as it does, I’ll be cranking out the comics.
And now, on with the show…
PS: Thank you all for your words of encouragement, they help a great deal.
🙂
My friends and I lip synched this song at a church function once. Good times…
Heh. The New Musical Express (or NME in hipspeak) published a glossary of hipspeak (the NME’s internal slang), sometime around 1975. In it they used Cumbersome, Fake and Trauma as Emerson, Palmer and Lake. In that order.
PS
The entry for Yes read “No”.
Guaranteed to blow your head apart… That seems so fitting!
Glad to have you back, Byron.
