In the wake of the tragedies that feel upon Paris last Friday (November 13th, 2015), I am showing my support to the people of France in my own little way. I know my comic cannot rid the victim’s families and friends of their sorrow, but at least they know we are thinking of them and we stand ready to help.
And I can’t think of a better song then John Lennon’s version of “Stand By Me” for today’s song.
Well done! As this was a touching tribute to the current crisis in Paris, France.
I wanted to do something, I felt so bad for the victims.
Well done.
Thank you!
Nous sommes tous Francais.
Indeed we are during times like this.
Great tribute Byron, and so quickly!
I spent the weekend working on it. It was a way to focus my thoughts on something productive instead of the anger situations like this can cause.
Classy dude. Very classy. 🙂
Thanks, man!
Interesting. In mystical theory there’s a concept – Robert Anton Wilson phrased it best as the “morgenheutegesternewelt”, the “today-tomorrow-yesterday world”. This says some events in the “present” are so charged that they are felt some years before the event – psychics pick them up as premonitions and warnings, and suitably sensitive people pick them up in dreams, long before they happen. And of course the linger long after the event as memories and flashbacks: the idea is that the “present” is not as fixed as we think, not a pinpoint in time, less a sharp fixed point , and more a nebulous cloud trailing into past and future. The bigger and more significant the event, the further back in time its echoes go. Which explains how Jeff (with a consciousness altered by years of dope smoking) can pick up 2015’s events in 1977….. I’ll come back with a suitable song, i know there’s one out there somewhere!
A wistful ballad about Paris as it should be remembered. From 1979. Gary Moore and Phil Lynott recapture Thin Lizzy.
Aaagh! didn’t copy…. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rw4bJo-o6A8
