Since the NASCAR season came to a close this past weekend I thought it fitting to do a 1977 style NASCAR comic featuring Bud. Seems Bud likes to narrate his exploits.
And there’s not better song about wheels than Alice Cooper’s “Under My Wheels”. Coop is still touring and came through Chicago recently and I really wanted to go see him, but it wasn’t in the cards.

Weekly. I’m going to post something new every week. It may not always be a new comic, but something to do with the comic. I think I’m almost ready to pick up some unfinished story lines too. I’ll keep plugging away and see what comes. 🙂
Ironic timing on the Alice Cooper reference. I just saw him with Motley Crue two days ago. He still puts on a great show.
Alice inspires me as an artist and as an ex-rocker that there’s life after turning 60. 🙂

Well, I’ve been ill and haven’t had the energy to post anything of late.
All of us dudes have all been there… As always Byron, funny, whitty, and risqué while still creative and clean! I always get a much needed grin reading 1977. And the art and design keep improving!
I try to push limits but maintain a certain “sexy-innocence” to the comic. It’s a bit challenging. It’s easy to be “in your face” with nudity and sex, but it’s another thing to be sly with it. So thank you! 🙂
