Oh, I bet you didn’t see that coming… I’m a sneaky little shit sometimes! ๐
We’re back to the future for a moment or two here, then back to the 1977 story.ย I’m also seeing ifย you all are paying attention!ย If not, sneak back to the first three comics of thisย year and you’ll see what’s going on.
Yes, I’m doing new eyes… freakin’ again.ย I think I’ve found a style I can steal and make my own so I’m trying them out (and not on Robyn or Lorraine yet so I can write it off as how “other female characters appeared…).
This storyline is ALSO building up to a certain holiday for Mom’s if my memory serves me correctly.ย Man, I’m tying this all together!
Today’s song title is a dead ringer.ย Queen released this song in 1976 and performed it live for the first time in February of 1977 as they kicked off their American tour.ย Oh, I love whenย a plan comes together!
Enjoy your weekend and remember updates are now Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday’s now.ย Come back often! ๐
Awesome!
OH GOD BYRON THAT WAS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
PS. i think i woke everyone up laughing. totally didnt expect it, i knew this comic was a good one to follow!
Brilliant. I had completely forgotten that he was talking to his daughter …
You pulled a how I met your mother. XD
The most romantic story I’ve ever heard… writing this with tears in my eyes. Does it get much closer to true love at first sight from the second generation?
That was brilliant!
Well done!
Scary really how much this resembles the truth in so many ’70’s relationships! ๐
(Although I never actually went out with any of there Mothers!)
LOL
Bob
So now we know how he met his kid’s mother for the first time, but since I don’t think his daughter is 30 in 2007, this is not the last time we’ll see Lily……..
LOL! I love it! Thanks for the good laugh! The look on his daughter’s face in the last frame is priceless!!!! ๐
Waitaminute… So when this whole thing started with Bud going through the album, we were getting…
…wait for it…
…”Pictures of Lily”?
Magnificent, man! This is a really good storyline and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Fantastic! Your characters are so well-defined, it’s a pleasure to read!
Hilaroious, I first met your mom when my friend was going out with your grandma and I was his wingman distracting his ex-girlfriend, now your mother, and it was all about sex.
Way to traumatize your daughter LoL.
and I never forgot he was talking to her, I think I questioned that a few strips back if you had forgotten yourself, what with the stuff from other character perspectives and turning into a girl. Very honest father I can say though.
RE: Rhuen – Yes, your comment triggered this storyline, so you get a shiny new dime. ๐
I am an BRUTALLY honest father. If my kids want to know something, look out. That is how 1977 the Comic came into being in the first place as I was relating my drunk/high stories to my two oldest sons (as they were in, or getting ready to go to, college)
As I write and draw these comics, sometimes you get tired of looking at the joke over the hours it takes to draw/ink/color these things. BUT this one had me laughing all the way. I still laugh at it now, so I think I hit the mark on this one.
WAIT until tomorrow! ๐
AHAHAHAHAHA!
Just great!
And what a fine lady for Bud! He was really lucky this time.
ha ha ha i love it this is so freakin’ awesome
Sorry Byron. I know you wanted me to wait until tomorrow, but I couldn’t. I just got back from the future and wanted to tell you tomorrow’s strip is really funny.
As is today’s.
๐
LOL! thanks Kevin! That made my day! ๐
weird, that’s how I met your mother too!
This was way better than the TV show.
