Robyn cracks me up… “Cover up your business and let’s set up!” Always on task, Robyn cracks the whip on the rest of them. Her temper keeps them in line too. As a good Catholic of the times, she would not say “penis” and would have a way to reference a guy’s “business”. 🙂
And good ol’ Troubles sets off Bud with a poor choice of words. She meant his being in his underwear was not a big deal, but sometimes we say things that sounded okay in our heads but once they hit the airwaves you’re like “What did I just say and why is everyone staring at me?” We’ve all done that…
Bud puts on pants Friday as I’m tired of doing a crap job of drawing the human body, and it gets a little weird drawing his “junk” area too.
If you live in the backwoods of Kentucky, then maybe you’ve never heard BTO’s 1973 hit “Takin’ Care of Business”, which was NOT their biggest selling song. That honor goes to “You Ain’t Seen Nothin’ Yet” which went to number one around the world. Also, Elvis (who died in 1977!) had “TCB” on his jet’s tail which supposedly stood for BTO’s song. I did have to let an young employee go once who looked at me with a blank stare and asked simply “Who the hell is Bachman-Turner Overdrive?” on a really bad day. Know your rock history if you’re gonna work for me… 😀

LOL! I remember Mr. Happy. (Back when Robin Williams still did his stand-up) I remember Mr. Happy not getting along well with cats too…
In any case, I like to think of drawing a dude’s junk as givin’ it back to the girlies who may be reading. (This may sound dumb since I draw a D&D comic, but the ladies outnumber the gentlemen in my personal gaming group 4 to 3. They needs to be appeased!)
All a comic artist need to be able to do with his art is communicate. You do that just fine.
Okay, now you’re just making stuff up, there’s no way you had someone working for you who had never heard of Bachman-Turner Overdrive. That’s just… not possible.
Sadly, it was true! I didn’t fire them, but I was stunned they had never heard of the group. I know they’re not as big as the Beatles/Stones, etc., but come on, they were a huge group for the 70s and still played on the radio a lot these days. They even were on the SIMPSONS for God’s sake! Oh, wel…
LOL hey – you just got a shout-out from H.O.L.E. comic … nice to see … you guys are number 1 and 2 on my favorites list!! (hehe – sort by name rules!)
Greetings namhla! I welcome readers from all types of other webcomics and glad you found the comic entertaining!
I wish I could say I purposely named the comic 1977 so it would be near the top of most “sort by name” lists, but alas, I’m not that clever. But, I do reap the benefits as most people will click on the first one or two in a list to see what’s up. Nice…
😛
Ya’ll will love this……I have a friend that works at Hooters.he was trying to date a hooters girl that he worked with.he made a comment about John Lennon, and she asked who he was?He said “you know from the Beatles.”And she said “Who are the Beatles?”My friend quit trying to date her,for obvious reasons…. thought you guys might get a kick outta that story
By the way I was wondering if the guys (and girls) are going to see STAR WARS soon
love the comic
Holy Crap! She didn’t know who JOHN LENNON was? Oh my God! I know he died in 1980, but come on? Does she listen to the radio? Even if she didn’t know of the Beatles, he had a helluva solo career. And who, WHO can forget Yoko, the world’s worst singer who sang on John’s albums?
Give her a copy of Lennon’s greatest hits (one of my favs) and then smack her with a baseball bat until she gets it. That usually works for me…
😀
Incidentally, Randy Bachman has his own radio show on the CBC – “Vinyl Tap”. You should be able to hear it online, or on the radio if you live close enough to the border or have shortwave.
He’s got some interesting stories, and always plays good music. But that’s a given, innit?
Cool! I Google it and look it up! Thanks! “Rock Is My Life, and This Is My Song” man…

Here’s a link to the latest archives. May’s well save you a little time there.
Excellent! Thanks, man! 🙂
I see a christmas SG!!
Mr Happy… haha.
Also, I laughed at the name “Vinyl Tap”, that’s good 😛
