Heh-heh… a little poke at the KGB of 1977… It is my understanding that hotel rooms of visiting westerners were bugged… seems kinda crazy but it was different age for sure. Like the USA doesn’t do that, eh? HA! 🙂
A little trivia… the door should say in Russian “Hotel California” and on the speaker box it should say “Radio Shack” but I got it from a translation website, so if it says something else, at least I tried! 🙂
And the comic’s title is a funny little movie (about the last funny one Chevy Chase did in fact).

Is it merely a coincidence that the KGB agents look like Riker and Picard?
(Oh, and you can never have too many naked girls in your comics.)
Great strip!
Must say though, this was the singularly most complex strip transcribed until now for WordOwl. Still, I think I have the hang of writing Russian characters now…
Actually, the biggest problem was that darn Russian lettering; everything else (other than the pillow fight) is pretty straightforward for transcriptions.
I did also include the English translations in the search index in case anyone was searching for those too.
I haven’t seen National Lampoon’s “Animal House” in way too long…
your russian is correct 🙂 and the Radio-Shack is a rather literal translation 🙂 but i got it…
I won!
Hmm… I think I’ll take the cruise.
Rats!
….who said girls don’t actually do that?! Pillow fights are really fun!
