Jeff is just practical, that’s all. Oh, and he’s smoking a real cigarette, not one of them fancy ones! 🙂
Speaking of smelling… I have no sense of smell. I have never had one as a result of a birth defect. All told, it’s been rather minor in my life, except I can’t taste a thing except the sweet and sour of the tongue. So in this case, my stinking doesn’t bother me, but I can knock out those around me on a good day! But with no sense of smell, I made the perfect Dad who could change any diaper without choking. Also, I charge $10 in case you drop by with your kid’s diaper loaded.
Monday we take to the streets of Riga and a few sights, best I can draw them that is, and then we wrap up 1977’s visit to Latvia with a “bang”. Stay tuned.
In 1971 I bought my first pre-recorded cassette tape, and it was “RAM” by Paul & Linda McCartney. It was Paul’s second effort since leaving the Beatles and he put a lot into the album. I think it is his best album as it is a bit rough around the edges and features a WIDE range of sounds including today’s rockin’ “Smile Away” which features classic silly McCartney lyrics.
I knew a girl once who was “olfactorally challenged.” Unfortunately she challenged the rest of us olfactorally as well. LOL. But we managed to get past it.
I am laughing that Bud is fussing at Jeff for his choices in what to pack, and then he whips out the full-face gas mask. Of course he could just be sensitized to the need for one by his own earlier gas warfare attack.
I’m not alone in the world! (I too have no sense of smell, although I do have a better sense of taste by the sounds of things.)
In other news, it’ll probably be Monday before this one gets added to the WordOwl search database due to my PC’s hard drive dying.
Kevin: Yeah, double standards are abundant with my guys… nothing wrong with being a bit self-centered at times… 🙂
The beauty of having no smell is the foul smells of the world (and there seems to be a lot of them) are never going to bother me. On the other hand, I’ll never know what “it’s going to rain” smells like, even though the gray clouds in the sky generally give it away…
🙂
OOPS! Forgot to mention that the comic’s title is a song from Paul McCartney’s “RAM” album and is a silly rocker that basically talks about a guy who’s friend could smell his feet/breath/teeth “a mile away” so “smile away…” Silly song, but great little rocker.
To smell me is to love me! 🙂 Anyway, men should smell as God intended – of sweat, beer & grilled foods.
Looking forward to Monday’s strip!! But then I always look forward to your strips!
