The farts fizzle, so call in the back-up. Actually you’ll find out in the next page that this was the plan all along. But what happens to the Mild Kingdom guys? Find out next week as the last page of “The Hunt” posts. Then on to the Rescue!
Rough week last week. Did a lot of pushing myself to get things going for my illustration company. Worked hard on the website but by Thursday, the demons were fighting back pretty hard. I was a mess Friday morning, but some shit went my way (finally) in the afternoon and things finally lightened by Saturday morning. This fighting the depression is a bitch, but I’m more aware of what’s happening and I think I’m able to combat it a tad better, and quicker. I think in the past a bout like this would have set me back days if not weeks. So that’s an improvement. Small steps.
OH! And I can’t forget this page was inked by Liz Staley. Liz creates her own comic as well as writing successful Manga Studio tutorial books. Find her Manga Studio Tutorials on Patreon.
I only have three Fleetwood Mac albums and only know the classic “Rumours” line-up. Stevie Nicks seems to get all the lime-light, but I think Christie McVie is far more talented and a better singer than Nicks. I generally skip the Nicks’ songs and will always end up on a McVie’s songs. I was looking for more of a rocker tune for today, but the title of this song from 1975 hits it on the… head.
ah….bait and switch…classic move.
I wonder if Lorraine’s farts will kickback and an inopportune” moment….for the Mild Kingdom guys
Just like in “Guardians of the Galaxy”
“WHAT are you DOING?”
“I’m distracting ya. You big turd blossom.”
Turd blossom. Great nickname. 🙂
Granted the song it not ‘1977-esque’, but I am surprised that you did not go with the punny goodness that is “I’ve got a lovely bunch of Coconuts” (Or whatever the title actually is 🙂 )
Wow! I have NEVER heard of that song, or if I did, I never knew it was from 1944. But the publishing company’s name is… I shit you not… Box and Cox Publications!!
Holy crap, that makes it perfect for my comic. 🙂

I dunno if you’ve ever seen The Lion King, but it’s the song Zazu sings in that bone cage in the cave with Scar
I’ve seen the “Lion King” a Zillion times (my boys were the ripe age for that Disney film) but damn if I remember that song. Now I gotta go watch it AGAIN just to hear that song. 🙂
Wow. You’ve never heard of that song? You must not have listened to Dr Demento much, especially in his early days when he did a top ten instead of the funny five.
There was a Budweiser Clydesdale ad a few years ago that used “Landslide”…I had to break it to my parents that the song was by Stevie Nicks / Fleetwood Mac…
Her songs are like Dylan tunes… best when done by somebody else. Something about her voice that grates on me. I’m a HUGE fan of female vocalists, but she’s one of the rare ones that I cannot stand.
Go on Lorraine! Push a little harder and you can hit them with something else!
It may not be a total washout just yet… 🙂
Hakuna Splat-tata! 😀
LOL! I should use that as the sound effect! That’s awesome!
I expected this to me more NSFW than it was, pleasantly surprised. Though, I’ve often wonder if the forest has been clear cut or not.
LOL! I once referred to Lorraine’s “landing strip” in a comic. ’70s women did NOT shave down there often, unlike today.
Also, as a cartoonist, I did not want draw a medical illustration. There is a TON of “things” I left out of that view. Less is more in my opinion, and more fun too. I don’t mind drawing nudity, but I don’t want to gross people out either. 🙂
If you like Christine’s vocals, start working your way backwards into Fleetwood Mac’s past. Start out with Future Games and work back in time until you hit the truly amazing blues band they were with Peter Green. 🙂
By the way, you should put something up here on the current page for your Go Fund Me page. Ya gotta let people tuning in late know about it.
NEVER stand down wind of a Pumba! [stinky]
The only other Fleetwood Mac song I can think of that would apply to a warthog attack is “Tusk.”
But that’s early 80s.
Sorry the Manila thing didn’t work out. Keep up the fight
