Ah, never trust anyone over 30… one more comic before the Christmas comic!
I wanted to give you all one more comic for all the nice comments you’ve have passed along to me this year and this season!ย It means a lot to an old fart like me, plus my family has had a few issues this year and it makes us warm inside knowing I’m entertaining a few of you!
๐
So, a comic of our favorite pet dragon… Poco! Someone wondered if Poco had made the move to the girl’s house and the answer is yes… this comic is acutally hinting to a part of the new storyline in 2009!ย Mystery abounds…. damn this old fart!
Oh, 1977 saw the release of a fairly decent album from Blue Oyster Cult and the first track on side 1 was none other than “Godzilla” which became an immediate FM stable staple.ย I love the song, particularly the line “Oh, no! There’s goes Tokyo!” and went with that as today’s title instead of the song’s title.ย A wee bit of a different spin for a year end bonus comic!
Enjoy!
I was only wondering how long it would take you to break your “vacation” and pop out with another strip.
For almost a second after reading this I thought “Oh man, I want a fire-breathing dragon lizard.” Then I thought of my house burning down and changed my mind.
Merry X-Mas Dude.
The guys go Tokyo, Poco meets wasabi.
2008 has been a great year for comics, and 1977 is no exception. (I think it’s definitely ahead of the curve for the new comics this year, actually)
And… Poco!!
Enjoy your Christmas break and we look forward to 2009’s glory.
I think you meant “FM staple” (played on FM a lot) instead of “FM stable” (idk, played on stations that are only on in barns?). Oh & love the lizard, hope to see more Poco ๐
@Byron, Re_B:
Now he’s got me wondering, would different spices allow you to adjust the power/intensity/distance (or just the flavor) of Poco’s flame?
Hmmm-m-m-m…
Wasabi vs. Jalapeno vs. Habanero vs. Bell-peppers vs. Black Peppercorns vs. White Peppercorn vs. Tabasco vs. Curry vs. (muttering)…

& finally, a simple Christmas Puzzle-Message:
“ABCDEFGHIJKMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ”
Blue รyster Cult! Yeah!
(Cue also “Burnin’ for You”?)
Am I crazy or did Poco just roast Fonzy?
Well, I have not thought of that, but “Happy Days” was a huge hit during the ’70s, so Fonzy is in my sub-conscious whether I want him there or not. ๐
Cool seeing you go through the Archives! Thanks!
Just don’t dress as Astroboy and do your best at farting the cute little creature to death and Bud and Jeff should do fine. If not Bud can turn into Buddet and then sailor moon then have Jeff turn into Jeffa and Lorraine and Robyn into sailor mars, Jupiter and mercury (at the sign of the cat). Lorraine’s got class but not easy on the gas unlike the mercury bobcat see to many ads on Hockey night in Canada as a child. The Fonzy throws like a nellygirl in baseball practice. Behind the scenes Henry Wikler could not throw baseballs so he getting nogies, wedgies and hauled up the flag pole in his fruit of the looms. At least he’s not a freshman or it’s the popular paddle on his rump mohahahaha. The Fonz ahhhhhh that hurts.
