For those of you new to the story, Bud licked a Mystic Frog (which was in Jeff’s pet collection) and this irritated the frog. So it put a spell on Bud and whenever he gets angry, Bud transforms into the opposite sex via a very cool “Hulk-out” type effect. Now, is L.A. ready for a transformed Bud to be loose on the city? We’ll find out next week!
“No More No More” is from Aerosmith’s 1975 “Toys In The Attic” album, which I consider their best effort. Bud has had enough and now it’s No More, No More for him. Dig on these lyrics from the end of the song as I think these fit Bud perfectly today:
“Times they’re a changin’ Nothin’ ever stands still,
If I don’t stop changin’ I’ll be writin’ out my will.
It’s the same old story Never get a second chance,
For a dance to the top of the hill.
Baby I’m a dreamer Found my horse and carriage.”

Not “No More Mr. Nice Guy” from Alice Cooper? 🙂
Oh, this is gonna be fun to watch…
I thought of that one but I’m a bigger Aerosmith fan. 🙂 Also, the last few lines really fit in with Bud’s changing.
I’ll keep that one on the pile for now, though!
🙂
Heeeee! Thanks.
By the way, I love this story arc. Great job! 🙂
so far this is by far my favorite web comic. just above ctrl+alt+del which i have been reading for years. you kick their asses outta the park. keep it up!
Wow! Thanks man! I use to read Tim’s comic, and subscribed to his videos as well, but I’ve lost interest in it of late and not read it for over a year. But I know Tim has a HUGE following and I’m really flattered you like 1977 as well. It’s kinda along the same lines of crazy when Tim was in full swing with the comic.
She wouldn’t like him when he’s angry. Just saying…
Good choice of title there, and good to hear you’re well into Aerosmith (there, something else I never knew about you). I remember the first time I heard Dream On – it was one of those worldchanging kick-upside-the-head moments that only happens every few years for me, and the song remains one of my all-time favourites. And the Toys in the Attic album kicks HARD. Age does not wither nor custom stale, y’know… 🙂
I wore my vinyl version of Toys in the Attic out completely… got it on reel tape and thinned that one out too! The CD is holding up much better!
I’m a fan of their 80s/90s stuff too. One tough old band they are! Tyler nearly overdosed in Springfield, Illinois back in the 70s and Springfield is in the heart of corn country where I grew up in the 60s… so I have a nice heritage to maintain!
🙂
As far as I’m concerned, Aerosmith have *never* dropped the ball and are still one of the most consistently powerful and entertaining bands like ever. Also, Tyler makes nice bikes 🙂
is he Hulking out???
Yeah, I first used the idea back in April of 2008 when Bud transforms back into male form… check out this comic:

Toon in Monday… 🙂
Hmmm – he is changing in the mens room? THAT could be a realised fantasy for me, walking into the gents and finding a partly clad girly in there 🙂
I lived on a Co-Ed floor in my college dorm and early one Sunday morning as I strolled into the shower to try and wash out my hangover, I was surprised to find a buck-naked girl stuffed into a grocery cart in the shower stall. I recognized as one of the girls on the floor. Making sure she wasn’t dead or hurt, I tossed my towel over her nakedness and strolled her in the cart back to her room whereby I woke up her roommate. Her roommate had forgotten they had pushed her into the guy’s shower stall as a joke the previous evening. They both were very drunk. She thanked me and pulled her roommate back into their room. I was minus one towel but it was later returned by one very embarrassed but grateful girl who thanked me for not “taking advantage of the situation.
I had for a very brief moment thought of tossing her into my bed and getting a couple quick pictures of her and me in bed together, but alas, I was out of film… I kept film on hand after that!
🙂
Hmm… I’m thinking the Devil knows EXACTLY what she’s doing in egging along his bad mood. Something about making him sabotage his own chances, I’d wager.
OooO! That would be an interesting turn of events! We’ll have to see if you’re right or not!
🙂
Funny that this is an Aerosmith song given Buds condition. I am sure “Dude Looks Like a Lady” should be on the rotation soon. Was Bud the early inspiration for Motley Crue and glam rock??
That would be a funny outcome of his transformations… I’ll have to “steal” that idea perhaps…
🙂
Chill out, er – RELAX, Bud!
“Relax… don’t do it…” says Frankie… 🙂
It seems like Bud has reached his limit. 🙂
“Toys” is definitely my favorite Aerosmith album, and I share the opinion that its probably their best ever. “No More, No More” was one of the first songs I learned to play on my guitar back in the day, the rhythm guitar line on most Aerosmith tunes is pretty easy to pick up. Joe Perry’s lead riffs are another story, entirely. Thanks for the flashbacks and Reminiscing
I love Bearman’s idea too. In fact, I think watching how Plan 9 affects the rock and roll landscape from behind the scenes as other artists are influenced by them (purposefully or not) could have just as much comedy as the group’s actual antics.
