I had a few folks write in asking if I was getting rid of Poco… that would be like cutting off my supply of Mountain Dew. No, Poco is a main-stay character. Who else has a fire-breathing pet lizard? Poco is even going on the trip…

Been a few weeks since Lorraine had actually had a part in the comic (going back to her boyfriend Chuck, who we’ll see more of quickly). Lorraine gets a lot of fan mail and I think I’ve satisfied those for the moment!
🙂
In honor of Poco staying on, I’ve pulled from the dust bins an actual Poco song. Poco had a really long recording life (longer than I remember) with their first album coming out in 1969 after the break up of Buffalo Springfield (the deal happened as Crosby, Stills & Nash formed). Anyway, from their 1977 release “Indian Summer” comes today’s comic title. Here’s a sample of the lyrics:
“We could tear it down and build it up again. . .
We can follow it through to the very end, it’s true,
I’m talkin’ ’bout me and you”

Kinda applies as Poco, the lizard AND the band, aren’t going anywhere anytime soon!

Have a great Labor Day as I sit back and watch NASCAR on DVR all day. Boogity…
🙂
