A HUGE hit of the bong pipe to our friend and fellow stoner comic Caspell over at Caspell Worldwide Studio for today’s guest comic!
I’m impressed by many things: One, he caught the essence of TV Night perfectly, Two, the second panel with Tattoo in the tower must have taken freakin’ forever to draw in all the roof tiles, Third, having everyone get hookers while on Fantasy Island is just plain hilarious, and Fourth, he remembered to do the comic! (“Wow, man, what I suppose to do… Oh, yeah!” Just kidding, he’s a nice guy!)
So, do me a favor: Go check out his stuff and watch him on Ustream as he does comics the “old fashioned” way with pen and pencil. (“Whoa! My hands are HUGE!)
Today’s comic title is perfect from Steppenwolf (or as we called them in college: Steppenshit). How else do you get to Fantasy Island without your Magic Carpet Ride? Indeed!
Another guest strip Thursday! Now what will happen next? Hmmm…
😀
I hope what you called them in college was more a clever play on words then a veiw on the band itself. All montages weep for you if not, for what would a movie trailer be without born to be wild playing on it? Dont break my Canadian heart now.
He did a damn fine strip, he did.
With all respect, Fantasy Island without everyone getting hookers is just an awkward place. Hurray for the prostitutes!
The S’s look a bit too much Schutzstaffel.
That was awesome. Total love for Caspell!
Greetings all! I’m at the Tampa airport with Internet access for the first time since last Friday evening. HOLY WITHDRAWL, BATMAN!!
I’ll have a full rant tomorrow on the trip.
RE: CavemanCavan – I have nothing but love for Steppenwolf, but I grew up on a farm and most of the time we were “steppin’ shit” and that is where it came from. Saw Steppenwolk in 1986 with BTO and they rocked the house, man!
More tomorrow!
i think caspell did a great job with the guest spot.probably going to start reading his comic now too. i remember “fantasy island” well i used to watch it every week reruns included. i used to love the scenes where mr rourke would talk to tatto about the fantasies that he was involved in making. it was always the funniest part of the show, especially the one where tatto was the red baron .the guy whos fantasy it was to shoot him down thought he was a little “short” rourke explained it off as depth perception
