This was inspired by a very brief but very funny cameo appearance made by the Three Stooges in the movie “It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World” that came out in 1963 and had just about every comedian known to the human race in it in some form. The Stooges are firemen at an small airport waiting for an incoming plane. They say nothing, but their focused expressions are priceless. The men known for vaudeville prat falls and stunts stood silent and still, but managed to be as funny as hell. The clip is on YouTube… go check it out.
Jeff has made peace with the squirrel in his tree and now they have come to save the day. I wrap up this little trilogy on Monday, then were back to Latvia for it’s “grand” finale.
My sister-in-law, Carol, was a huge Doors fan, and Jim Morrison could light her fire for sure. Carol passed back in 2001 due to cancer but I’ll always remember her reaction to a Doors song when it came on the radio or TV. I also spare you the monotony of the 7:00 minute long album version if favor of the radio-friendly single version.
I went and looked up that clip, it is funny even if it’s out of context there. The last time I saw that movie I was much shorter, and that was a while back.
Love the squirrels. Funny and unexpected!
Thanks! Squirrels are such fun even if they are in reality mean little bastards that would bite your finger off if you got near them. “Aw, isn’t that cute?! He took my finger!”
🙂
Well, I see that after Jeff and the squirrel had the trade they became quite some friends.
This is what is called “putting squirrels to good use”
Welcome Michael! Indeed, it is putting them to good use! Check back Monday! 🙂
