The number one reason why I refuse to spend time in jail (or do things that will get me tossed into jail) is because you gotta do your “business” in front of others. I can’t pee in a public restroom unless I duck into a stall, I can’t imagine taking a dump in front of a crowd. So you police officers of the world can rest easy that my crime spree will never happen until you get private bathrooms for inmates!
In late 1975, Bachman-Turner Overdrive released “Head On”. It was actually a damn good album, but they had rushed the follow up album to their smash “Not Fragile” early in 1975 and it hurt them big time. They never really recovered from that and broke up in… yeah, 1977.
Does this relates to how the Band broke up in the 1977 timeline ? π
It’s a big clue for sure. If you remember in the “1977 Again” storyline where they all get back together in present time, I talk a bit about when they broke up finally.
Damn frog
Seconded. π
I’m beginning to think that you might want to consider a Mystic Frog Plushie as part of your merchandising strategy. And a fire-breathing lizard. Maybe some squirrels, to …. π
Hmmmmmm. A Robyn body-pillow! π― π π THAT would be so totally wrong in so many
deliciouswrong, wrong, WRONG! ways …Everybody needs a Robyn for a pillow…
~ducks and runs~
asha’s bosoms might disagree. π
When color is added to this strip, I’ll find it interesting to learn whether the shirt Bud wears in this strip is exactly the same model as the one Jeff ripped up during the bar fight. If so, I’m guessing that Bud buys his shirts from a bulk quantity “warehouse” type of store.
I every so often make subtle changes in Bud’s shirt. Adding the white stripe on the shoulders this year suddenly had a yellow strip added to it. So, you’ll have to wait until August to see if he gets a new shirt or not. This one is the same (and yes, I do buy at least two of some shirts so I can have a back-up).
π
Oh tha is just f@#ked up. Someone run over that frog!
Careful, you’ll tick it off…
π
Well…. this is not a surprise, as a Webcomic Workshop podcast listener, I knew this webcomic was going to have some days off. For sure you deserve it, and I will be back, looking for new adventures next August. Have a nice summer Byron.
Over in the archives of the Workshop Podcast, I let go many a secret about the comic and it’s future stories and plans. Most have come to fruition. And I’m a big proponent of us independent comic artists of taking these breaks. Doing it day after day, month after month lends to boredom and fatigue. Cause more than likely we’re also doing a full-time or part-time job besides the comic and simply run out of steam.
This year the comics have been better than ever and it is completely due to my taking a break.
π
Enjoy your R&R. Take your time and get back to it when you’re ready.
You ready yet?
Gimme 5 minutes to finish this beer…
π
the breaks are good. sometimes it leads to the creators’ comic not making any sense due to said fatigue …
as in the “constant werk” leads to the comic not making sense…
i think i need a break. perhaps with a funny cigarette. π
This actually looks pretty nice even not in color :3
Wow, man, your comments have been going into the Spam folder! I don’t know how that happened. The plug-in that stops spam comments usually works very well and I just hit “delete” on them all, but luckily today I saw your avatar and caught it.
Sorry about that. I’ll keep a better eye on that.
π
You’re never too old to enjoy a summer vacation (well, if you’re lucky enough to have one as an adult).
Enjoy your summer, Byron!
Well, my “vacation” is working on other stuff, so it won’t be much of a vacation. Wish I could take some time off, but the economy won’t let me just yet.
Never the less, I will enjoy myself!
Everybody needs a break, and breaks are great to refuel creativity. Can’t wait for the next season. BTW, I just finished to listen to the entire podcast archive, and will wait for the new ones. Good stuff, and very entertaining.
Have a fantastic summer.
Ding, ding! Another podcast listener! Welcome aboard!
And thank you for the kind words!
π
“Gimme 5 minutes to finish this beer⦔
But its a keger.
Keger? Gimme 10 minutes then…
π
w00 man! the colours! the colours! π
I know, I love it when I get them finished, they just pop off the page so much better, even though I love my pencils, 1977 has always looked better in color.
π
I see a Tiiiiiny hint of guilt in that frog…. but or maybe it’s gas, but every neknow eypatches may revenges that much more fun.
That’s not guilt, but rather loathing of Bud.
π
It looks he made a little more than bail in that beginning panel. π
Yes, yes he did. π
