Bud’s very happy for two reasons… one is very obvious… and the second is he’s accomplished 3 out of 4 of his New Year’s Resolutions. Check out the January 2nd comic (“Our Story Begins”) and look carefully at the first frame. For some odd reason he has yet to buy any new shirts… hmmmm..
Inspiration for this comic came from the old McDonalds sign that bragged about how many hamburgers they had served. When the numbers got too big, they just said “A Shit-Load Served… Trust Us” and that was good enough for corporate America! 🙂
I’ll be at yet ANOTHER tradeshow this week for the Stump Grinder company and this one promises to be a tad more exciting. But I’ve got this week’s comics already cranked out, so Justin will get to work on his own comic this week. Oh, know anyone who needs a good Wood Chipper? I can turn you on to one for a good price… 😀
If anyone asks you if a wood chipper would fit on their boat, just run away.
By “his own comic,” you mean his graphic novel?
You’d be surprised at how many people ask if those wood chippers would “chip” a human body… funny at first then you go “Wait a minute…” in your head and get kinda creeped out.
As far as Justin, he’s working on his graphic novel concepts/characters/etc. now, but he still has a bit of Jedi Training to complete before he tackles that completely. So, he is starting a 3 times a week (maybe even daily) webcomic and he’s got the first few done, and when he has a week’s worth, I’m gonna get his Comic Press site set up for him on his domain. I’ll announce it here when it’s ready.
Like father, like son… kinda weird and cool at the same time. 🙂
Great comic! Came on over from GWS and just caught up from the archives. great stuff. It good for us younger generation “tobacco” users to see our roots.
Welcome “Silver”!! GWS is a great comic and one of a few I read everyday.
Part of my inspiration for doing 1977 was to “educate” those a “tad” younger than me on the lifestyles of the times. I know I toss in some comic elements, but for the most part, this is how life (or at least mine) was!
Glad to have you along for the ride! 🙂

It seems awesome to me that he thinks enough of the old man to want to share in his interests and hobbies. I’d say that was pretty special.
