It’s been a very busy couple weeks for me. I’m coloring pages for Liz Staley’s “Adrastus” comic as well as I picked up a nice gig drawing cards for a game in development (can’t talk about that much yet). So, in the next day or so, I’ll finish up this page with inks and colors. I prefer giving you something on-time as opposed to making you wait until the final product is done.
Grand Funk Railroad’s “Closer To Home/I’m Your Captain” was a bit of change up in their typical songs when it was released. Being a power trio, Grand Funk just blasted out songs that could be reproduced fairly easily in-concert. But this track was a far cry from that, with strings and lots of over-dubs. Still one of my favorite songs from them. And another favorite of DJ’s of the time as it clocked in at 10 minutes long, more than enough time to light one up. 🙂
And we’ll have to see what happens to our two pilots as they had out to sea in search of a rescue. It may not be pretty.
Looks like Lorraine isn’t worried one bit. Or Chilly!
She won’t be as chilly as she was in Illinois. 🙂
So the pilots left with all the items that are crucial to locating everyone? I call shenanigans! [smirk]
I’m not that deep of a writer. We’ll see what happens to the pilots later on. 🙂
I like to see the work in progress, lets you see the effort that goes into a page. Sometimes people don’t realize how much work it is.
Thank you! Yes, pages do take a lot of work. This one has a lot of background elements that need to be hand drawn, inked, colored and shaded. But I enjoy the challenge and I’m glad folks like seeing the progress work. 🙂
love it!

Well, there’s always Filter’s “Take A Picture” which features a crashed plane in the video. 🙂

The list missed this one – shame it’s 1960’s (1965)

Love early Stones. After “Sticky Fingers” I pretty much gave up on them. Their greatest hits album “Through the Past Darkly” features some of their best stuff. Without Brian and Stewart, they weren’t the same band.
“I’m your captai” not loading on iPad.
Previous comics ok.
Working ok on pc
Hmmm… So you can play the other videos posted with the other comics, but not this one? Interesting. I use the same method for each post. I know YouTube used to use Flash, but I don’t think they do anymore.
If you can’s see any videos from YouTube on my other posts, let me know. But I believe you’re saying it’s just this one.
Looks like this island might have some interesting natural features. Will be anxiosly awaiting mores strips in the series.
Lots more to come… both natural features and pages. 🙂
In case I forgot to say it before – it is so good to have you back, Byron. These strips are looking GREAT.
If you said it before, it doesn’t matter, as i enjoy hearing it! Thank you very much, it feels great being back. 🙂
Moby Dick will be a Dick and drown then they are giant squid or the boat will get run over by a Liberian or Panama oil tanker. Then they are nuclear submarines (Los Angeles class) and surface ships (West Virginia class cruiser or Nimitz class aircraft carrier) with luck they’ll dance with the Village People. Or course little sharky might bite and sink the boat yah sharky.
