How is it some people just seem to know every damn thing? My “Chet” was one of those folks and the really irritating part was he did know everything. What class in high school did I sleep through that these types seem to know a sprocket from a socket? Lesson one in home demolition… look for load bearing walls. If in doubt, knock it down and run really fast…
The Beatles did not have this comic’s theme in mind when John wrote it, but it made me smile when I saw the title in the comic. Imagine Jeff and Rose “feeling” the earth move and thinking “Wow, we’re good!” But nope… you’re going for a ride!
🙂
I hope Rose sticks around for awhile, I’m starting to like her.
why does people having sex piss chet off?
1 whammy on Chet, 2 on Jeff, 1 on Rose….. the tally continues….
RE: Jeremy – Well, you know relationships are funny things… here today, gone tomorrow. Rose was not really in the plans initially, but I like having an “older voice” around the gang. Even one that has not exactly gone down the right paths in life.
We’ll see how things go!
🙂
Stating the Bobvious – Well, they’re having sex in the middle of his construction project!! (which they were if you think about it) But I think he’s a tad more ticked at Bud, the constant power tool blunderer.
🙂
RE: vince – Yeah, I even left Jeff’s hair “missing” down the middle from yesterday’s comic. I think Bud has something coming soon enough…
🙂
Gives “sporting wood” a whole new meaning. HA!
Well – that’ll happen sometimes! I’m sure it was worth it.
I think that this project is trying to kill poor Jeff.
Bud cut through a load bearing wall’s supports, sent a nail flying through one wall and almost impaled Jeff’s head, and almost killed chet with a saw blade.
Maybe a construction project isn’t the best place for Bud. Maybe a demolition project would be more his bag LoL.
I thought Chet might have been ticked at having a sofa full of people crash down a few inches from his still-wriggling-in-terror toes.
Nothing improves a spot of home improvement like something fast, massive and verynearby suddenly and unexpectedly entering the theater of operations. Trust me, I’m something of an expert on this phenomenon.
RE: roxysteve – Yes, construction “mishaps” can quicken the heart rate LIKE nothing in the world… point in case being when at a Caterpillar plant in the 90s a “scoop” on a wheel loader hit the ground unexpectedly nearby and made a noise like I’ve never heard. Nothing like a couple tons of steel slapping cement in a HUGE factory to sharpen your nerves and dampen your pants…
🙂
RE: Rhuen – I have a feeling Bud will get what is coming to him before this is all said and done…
🙂
