Did the original sketch for this back in October while at New York Comic Con. Some of you requested I finish this up, so… here you go!
And now let’s listen to what Horton is hearing… some live Who from their “Live at Leeds” album. This single got me hooked on the Who.

Ahh, Live at Leeds – still a definitive live recording even after all these decades.
You probably know I’m not a fan of live albums most of the time as I think they are normally lacking in decent sound quality and show the lack of skills of some groups to pull off their sounds in concert. This one has always stood out as a great example of a fantastic live album. And it was done by a boot-legger on top of that! Shows simple is sometimes better!
Trouble with most live albums is that they’re board mixes. Whoever decided that that was the way to go was a flaming eejit – ambient room sound HAS to be at least part of a live recording.
Oh, and I never activated any plug-ins for “notifications” on comments as I find those types of emails very annoying. But, perhaps I should. I’ll see if they have one where it’s an option and not required of everyone who posts a comment.
If you could, that would be great! Strange as it may seem for someone who is somewhat on the inside of the IT industry, I have a dreadfully slow internet connection AND browser issues (and am not in a position to use NoScript or other adblockers if I want pages to load in any reasonable time) and thus tend to keep any advertising-heavy sites closed unless I know there’s a comment to answer!
Well, I installed one. Tell me what you think. The ones I found required some sort of subscription or what-not. I hope it’s not irritating. If it is, I’ll look for a different one.
‘k, let’s see.’..”testing, one two…is this thing on?’ 😀 ~sits back to wait~
Wasn’t Leeds where fans got trampled?
My Bad, that was Cincinnati in 79.
Yeah, I was about to reply with that answer. The TV show “WKRP in Cincinnati” did an episode about that concert and deaths. Terrible tragedy.
thats a good likeness byron really captures his image.nice to see new stuff
More is on the way… 🙂
Love this! Clever.
Thanks, Tom! Just kinda hit me one day while sitting at NYCC. 😉
