Ah, the first comic published with Comic Press. Been a long weekend and I kinda rushed this one out, but things will settle down in a bit.
A nice visit with the ladies of 1977 and why Lorraine is called Troubles. Been hinting to it, but now we have a the real reason. Trouble just follows some folks.
Ah, 1973. Great year for music. Bachman-Turner Overdrive first traveled across the border from Canada and came rockin’ into the USA with their first self-titled album. Their first album is a bit harder then their other releases, and this song in particular is just about pushing them into the Hard Rock arena.

Old reader, new commenter here. I love the comic very much! I’m wonderin’ how you’re finding the comic press. Is it easy to install?
keep on keepin’ on!

I tried this all out last year and was dissapointed with the speed in which pages loaded. But both the software and my host upgraded and now everything runs very smoothly.
As far as installing Word Press, that was easy. But, Comic Press took a bit of reading and for the “newbie” or non-techy out there, it was a bit of a challenge. But, with a bit of reading and patience, I got it all running no problem. I had about 100 comics to add comments to and load into the site, but then it was farily easy to modify stuff to this point.
I miss my old HTML pages but I’m getting the hang of this new design. Old dog new tricks, I guess! Thanks for reading the comic! Rock on, man…
The one great thing about using a content system like WordPress is that – as nice as it is using lovingly handcrafted HTML, there comes a time when it just gets overwhelming to maintain, and a content system takes most of that maintenance away.
It looks great, and I hope that once you’ve got it to the point where you’re happy with everything, you’ll find it easier to manage than doing it by hand.
So true. Having it automated does make my life much simpler. It took me at least 30 minutest to modify my old design with each comic I put up. Not that bad, but still, it takes about a minute now. Old habits are hard to break, but this is one I’m glad I did. I also think visitors find it much easier to find the archvies now, which were a bit buried in the old form. Far out, man…
I found this comic awhile ago, and you were doing a story about how they met Jeff’s parents, what happened to that?
That storyline was from 2007. As of January 1st I restarted the comic essentially retelling the story from the beginning, so to speak. So, some of the things I did last year haven’t “happened” yet, or may not come up at all. 2007 was more of a formative year for the comic, and it seems fairl settled in now. There is a “Road Trip” coming up very soon!
YAY 🙂 🙂
