Hot bikinis and burning engines, this story has everything so far. Toon-in for a bonus comic Thursday which will answer what caused the engine fire.
Bad Company’s first two albums were damn fine rock albums. I kinda lost track of them after that (it was the ’70s you know) and caught their hits on the radio. But today’s track from 1977’s “Burnin’ Sky” album fits the comic perfectly.
I once spent Christmas in Oz. Down at the beach, Santa was wearing jams, and his elves wore outfits like Lorraine’s.
I love my readers, you come up with the best comments. 🙂
That is one tinnie bikini!
Lorraine is not inhibited for sure. 🙂
Bad luck Lorraine strikes again. 🙁
It’s great to have you and the crew back.:)
LOL! Hadn’t thought of it that way. And thank you, it’s great to be back. 🙂
I’ve only discovered this comic this weekend and I’m now hooked. I’ve read every issue from the beginning, and I’m gonna miss the “she-hulk” personality of Bud. I also like the fact that you do on occasion show a little nipple area, but not all of the time. Thanks
Welcome aboard! I’m glad you like the comic. Always great to meet a new reader! There’s a lot of comics here and my style has changed dramatically since the early days, but I seem to have found my course now and I’m trying to go full steam ahead.
Seems her exposed flotation devices caused engine failure… it happens! [smirk]
Nothing like the dreaded penalty for early withdrawal. 😉
Its the price you pay when the engine blows before the landing gear has engaged the runway! Throttling to quickly will do that! [smirk]
Good to see you back at it Byron!!! Miss my 1977 krewe!!!
Ziggy!! My fellow bass man! I’m glad to be back! Hope you’re still rockin’!
Ummm…. Bud is on the starboard side of the plane when he looks out the window to see an engine in flames. But in the next frame, it is the port engine that is on fire. Which is it? 😉
I guess my layout may or may not be clear, but Bud and Lorraine have their backs to the pilots, and thus are looking at the rear of the plane. Jeff and Robyn are in seats facing the front of the plane. So, in my head, Bud’s on the same side as the engine that’s on fire (I don’t know starboard from port, sorry).
The jet interior I used as a reference had the passenger seats facing each other and had a door in the back of the plane that led to storage and the head. So perhaps folks are confusing the door in the previous page as the pilot’s door, when it’s really at the back of the plane.
I hope I’m right on that, if not, oops on my part. 🙂
The way I remember is port has the same number of characters as left. In the first frame, (to me)it looks like Bud has his back to the rear bulkhead, which would put him at the very back of the airplane (last window in frame 7). I say this because on a small jet, the opening to the cockpit is on the left side or middle othe bulkhead and I do not see one in the picture. But even if he was in the front facing the rear, how then did the window get behind him in frame 6? 😉
First, I love the fact you notice. Second, here’s my reply to details like this:
“If you’re wondering how he eats and breathes
And other science facts,
Just repeat to yourself ‘It’s just a show,
I should really just relax’….”
I love Mystery Science Theater 3000. 🙂
Doesn’t bother me at all. While you were probably taking art classes in school, I was taking mechanical drawing (old school, no computers). I tend to notice how perspective is drawn. Also, I am one who can ace those unfolded cube tests. So, it caught my eye how Bud was seated. 😉 Keep drawing, you certainly do a better job at it than me.
Also, if this is bugging you, I gonna break a lot more “science” type facts here real soon… 🙂
Oh no the plane is on fire and they are no strewardesses let alone in TWA or North West colors mini dresses,or skirts or hot pants heels or go go boots boring airline. One of the girls or Bud should dress as a strewardess wearing one of those sexy outfits.
