Bud’s new girlfriend’s story arc continues in today’s strip. I’m going to run two storylines at the same time, one with Bud and Delilah, and the other Jeff vs. the Squirrel.
Ah, the Jefferson Airplane’s “Somebody To Love” a great 60’s tune, and oh, Grace Slick in her day… Wow. Saw them as the Jefferson Starship in like 81 and she was WAY hot even then. Lorraine is based very loosely on Grace, especially the lose clothes, hot body and sexy voice, but we never get to HEAR Lorraine, but trust me, she’s sultry.
More Wednesday as my PC issues seem to be over.
Oh, I invested $25 and saw the “Dark Knight” with all three of my sons. Liked it a lot, but I still like the Keaton/Nicholson Batman/Joker version. But they are both great films in their own rights. Also, Keaton’s Batmobile was MUCH cooler… man, what a car that was! Later.

FINALLY! Someone who prefers Nicholson’s Joker over Ledger’s!
I thought I was the only one!
Ledger’s acting is good. However, I think he’s just too serious as the Joker. Of course he’s (the Joker) a lot crazier today than he was back in the 80s-90s (actually, it’s like a new Joker), but, no matter how destructive or psycho, the Joker always laugh a lot. Ledger is too serious, too calm in the movie. I think Nicholson was more “tuned” to that time’s Joker that Ledger is with today’s.
Damn, I’m not good writing in English…really sorry about that. Hope you understand what I mean, heheh.
GREAT COMICS! I’m almost catching up!
Absolutely Nicholson’s Joker is a better version of the character. Nothing against Ledger at all, as he played the Joker very dark and it fit the movie’s tone perfectly and it was a great film…
But, the classic Joker scenes are from the first Batman: “Ever dance with the devil in the pale moon light?” or “You’re insane.” “I thought I was a Pisces.” or “How can a man dressed as a bat get all my press?”
One more “but…” I have to give this current Batman film a huge thumbs up for the scene where the Joker slams that thugs head onto a pencil standing up on the table. THAT was classic! 🙂
Where does he get those wonderful toys?!?
