Today’s comic gets the band rehearsing and allows me to “nod my hat” to Chuck Jones.
In 1943, Jones directed a Warner Bros. Bugs Bunny cartoon called “Super Rabbit” wherein Bugs obtains Superman like powers from a fortified carrot. After the scientist explains what Bugs can do, our “hero” jumps into a nearby phone booth (in a laboratory?) and pops out dressed as Little Bo Peep! Now, to me, the real gag of the scene is not that Bugs is dressed in drag, but that he’s also pulling along a little toy sheep! (Go search for the cartoon on YouTube and see for yourself!) Jones and his animators put in these little gems all the time, and to me, they’re the real joke!
Also, the comic’s title is from Jethro Tull’s 1971 album called “Aqualung” and a song of the same name. And I’m not sure, but I believe Bo Peep is NOT a Mother Goose story, but you get the idea.

Very nice graphic!
just jumping in here from the
farfuture to see what HTML formatting I can get away with in these comments … sorry for the inconvenience! 😉• • • • • • • a • bb
It did not go nearly so well as I had hoped …. table and font elements are not allowed 🙁
(
strike works though!)Oh well … winsomelosesome
I think only HTML elements are allowed and then only certain ones. And no problem you time traveler you! 🙂
heh! as I attempt a few more …
After some searching (&many side-adventures) found a good explanation of allowed HTML in WordPress comments:
Summary: Very Limited for us visitors (not even underline is available!). VERY cool options for the blog owner, though. 😎
However, if using these HTML/XHTML elements, they must be typed and nested perfectly (use all lower case, also!). A quick google search for:
➡ wordpress comments html tags
will also reveal several tips to turn formatting off for comments … which seems to be of greater interest for some blog owners. 👿
Oh, and listing of how to invoke default smileys using typed text:

I figured the ‘Easter Egg’ comic would be as appropriate as any to put these experiments/finds.
😈 😆
LOOOVE, Aqualung.
Hey, KC! I’ll do the obvious joke and ask where the Sunshine Band is… I’m sure you get that a lot.
Yeah, Aqualung is Tull’s best for sure. Hard to pick a bad track on the album and a great variety of sounds too. But, best of all, it rocks which Tull lost that edge in later years.
Love the pink dress Jeff looks hot in it.
