A couple random comics (maybe a few) and I’ll start up a new story arc.
It’s Friday and been an interesting week. My 21 year old lives in a really nice, quiet apartment complex that is well run, clean, nicely maintained and in a safe neighborhood. Contrary to that, my 18 year old is moving into a neighborhood in Aurora that was once known for some gang and drug activity (that should be Aurora’s city motto), but we’re told by city officials the area has been clean for some time now. Well, my 21 year old calls me last night about a murder that happened in his apartment complex (not his building but close enough) and the guy was stabbed 55 times (he’s done, you can stop now). Goes to show you, you just don’t know what’s happening in this world. I’m not worried for my son as it was not a random homicide and the guy is already in custody (go cops!). But, it was just an odd juxtaposition of normal parent worries.
That has nothing whatsoever to do with today’s comic… which I KNOW you all are thinking something else and that’s great. I reworked Robyn’s punch line a hundred times. There’s so many things that fit that last frame. Send me yours and I’ll post them here!
Thoughts:
“Hey, does that thumb taste good?” (couldn’t help the Peanuts reference!)
“Do you want a hand with that?”
“Really, the snow’s ‘armless!”
“Don’t go falling headlong, now!”
The ‘armless one is great… especially if I could work in an English neighbor or something. Damn, all good suggestions! Why didn’t I see these sooner? Damn technonlogy!
Haha! This is hilarious!
Thanks! It is also the only time snow has appeared in the comic, even though they’re in the Chicago area which gets it’s fair share of cold and snow. Comic artist’s prerogative on that one I guess!
🙂
I love your drawing but, um that does not look like a microphone.
Maybe a personal massager.
OOPS! Just read the submit a punchline.
WOW! It is bigger than a babies arm.
