And that ends Lorraine’s career as a Playboy bunny. These guys can’t keep jobs, can they? I had a lot of fun drawing today’s comic. One, I got to draw a real person and decided not to go all cartoony and just do a straight forward likeness. Hugh is fairly easy to do a caricature as he has very distinctive cheekbones and nose. So, it was just getting down the basic shape and the rest fell into place. And I got to draw Lorraine full on being “trouble” as she drops a tray full of drinks. For a cartoon about my alter-ego, Lorraine has eaten up a lot of comic space since the return. I always feel I don’t give the girls enough “screen time” so I’ve been over compensating a tad. It’ll balance out soon.
A little Beatles action today. “Day Tripper” is one of those songs better in mono then stereo. You can hear the fading out of missed notes in the stereo mix, plus the mono mix has more power to it. Most of the early Beatles’ songs were better in mono as that’s how George Martin originally mixed them. If you can ever get a hold of the mono mix CDs, they are worth the money.

Ha, so Mr. Hefner does remember Lorraine. Poor Troubles, she could of had a great career as one of Hugh’s bunnies. 🙁
How could you forget getting hit in the face by a bunny’s tail? And Lorraine is memorable for many other reasons too…

Actually, she probably dodged a bullet there, a bit. She could very nearly have ended up as one of his wives.
I guess Hugh doesn’t go for the klutzy type. An occasional, cute mistake is … cute. A regular habit will wear you down (experience raises it’s hoarse & weary voice).
I hope one day Lorraine will be able to reveal a story about her trip to the Grotto. ‘Though … I suspect THAT one would probably have to be member’s-only material.
I really like this one. Telling a 1977 story in a flashback. Great idea!

Hugh is right Lorraine is a raving beauty too bad she is troubles. It would be funny if Bud having turned into a woman became a play boy bunny he could borrow my velvet body suit, heels and bunny ears.
