I put in small things in most comics that at some point all you detailed orientated viewers will notice. I’m going to tell you today’s little insert: Bud is drinking a beer for breakfast, yet is questioning Jeff’s getting high. Can you say double standard? Yep, you can! Plus, unless you’re a former/current stoner, look up 4:20 on Wikipedia here.
I’m surprised that you haven’t mentioned how your title refers to both “Wheaties” cereal & a novel by Kurt Vonnegut Jr.

You’re usually pretty good at helping-out the younger audience members with these things.
Being eighteen, and not always willing to read the entire comment (they’re appreciated, but half the fun of going through archives is being able to read without breaking the flow), I know i’m not always going to get all the references in this comic… but I still think it’s awesome. 😛
think i saw the 4:20 reference on joan of arcadia, of all places, once, though.
Hey Kevin! Ah, 18 years old, a wonderful time and kinda sucky too as you’re not 21 yet so the “fun stuff” is still illegal, but old enough to be off to college or whatever. When I was 18 and starting college, the drinking age was 19, so I got started early in college (legally that is).

I think it’s interesting few comics/webcomics/manga/webcomic ever references marijuana; Considering it’s estimated some 80% of Americans use it, you think it would come up more, especially in a medium without an editor worried about meeting certain standards and practices (Hence the rest it’s mostly depicted in a bad light; It’s usually the only way television is allowed to show or discuss the subject, in such a way it’s negative and would make the viewer think little of people who use said substance.) I say keep it up; It’s unlikely you’re going to alienate readers, after all, so much as attract some who feel under-represented in the webcomics realm. Plus, this comic kind of has an easy in; This is set in the 1970’s, after all.
Anyway, I love big, thick 1970’s hair on guys; There’s something wrong with me. In any event, you’ve got a new reader/follower 🙂

I’ve gotten way past alienating readers… I just do pretty much what I want and try and keep it fun!
