The concept of the “Bi-Cotton Rod” was a subject of mine for a speech class at ISU in 1976.  We were suppose to “invent” a product and sell it to the class as part of our speech.  I started off with a boring history of cotton, then as everyone was going to sleep I kicked into “LADIES AND GENTLEMEN…” like one of those annoying “barkers” at cheap carnivals.  My product was an improved Q-Tip called the Bi-Cotton Rod, which one of its many uses was as mini-torches for hamsters.  I got an A on the speech! 🙂

Oh, and a Jefferson’s reference to in the title! Bud’s “moved up” from his car to Jeff’s house… okay, a bit of a stretch! 🙂
