Welcome to the offical launch of Sunday comics for 1977.  In the grand tradition of print versions of Sunday comics, the first two panels are designed to be “cut out” as a “throw away” joke.  Many newspapers would (will) cut the format of Sunday comics from 8 to 6 panels, so the first two are either glorified logos or a quick joke that isn’t necessary to the main plot of the comic.  Yes, I know that comic syndicates pay fairly well, but man, what a pain in the ass.  Thankfully, there’s the internet and our wonderful world of webcomics.

The song title for today’s comic is from 1966 and is by a vocal quartet called the Vogues.  Their song was used for a bit by Drew Carey as the theme song for his TV show in the early days.  But the line for me that strikes home is “living on money I ain’t made yet” which is sooo true these days.  No wonder the mortgage companies went belly up.  Heh, they expected us to PAY them.  Silly rabbit, Trix are for kids…

Monday thru Thursday updates this week.  Five updates now!  Yee-ha! …. oh, wait… Far out, man!
